How to Stay Organized
If you’re looking for the answer to this post’s title, you’re not gonna find it here.
I have no clue how to stay organized. I spend day after day (when I find time) cleaning my house only for it to unravel in a few hours. It’s not that I’m a slob. I want to be organized. I want to be clean. But who has the time?
I can clean a little during the day but my son gets bored when I get into heavy cleaning. I can’t clean at night because that’s when I work.
So when do I clean?
Weekends are always a cleaning frenzy that amounts to nothing, or maybe an hour of a pristine household. I know people always say, “No one on her deathbed ever looks back on her life and says, ‘I wish I would have cleaned more often.’” I completely agree. But still, I wanna clean house, dammit. Organization is key to cleanliness in the long run and right now there’s baby hats strewn across the floor, random linoleum samples that have overstayed their visit and an overflowing box of too-small fitted diapers–all in my living room.
If I were painting my surroundings a la Van Gogh, my canvas would be a splatter of everything all in one place. Like a Jackson Pollock.
Hey, I guess you could say my living room is very Pollock-esque.
